Mendoza – Amazonas 2025

A Mission of Service in Amazonas, Peru

The Peruvian American Dental Association (PADA) proudly reflects on its recent Dental Mission trip to Rodríguez de Mendoza in Amazonas, Peru, held on April 28-29, 2025. In a testament to collaborative spirit, this mission, undertaken with the vital support of local schools, hospitals, and the city administration, delivered essential dental care to underserved communities across three dedicated locations.

Our deepest gratitude goes to the volunteer dentists who, with their expertise and compassion, made this mission a profound success:

🔹 Maria Auxiliadora Hospital: Dr. Jarly Portocarrero, Dr. Juan Paz, and Dr. Caridad Cuaresmayo.

🔹 Mariscal Benavides Health Center: Dr. Patricia Zubiate, Dr. Silvia Flores, and Dr. Wilmer Yabar.

🔹 Michina City Health Post: Dr. Oscar Trigoso, Dr. Rosa Lopez, and Dr. Franciss Zamora.

The resounding success of this Dental Mission was met with widespread appreciation from all communities in Rodríguez de Mendoza, particularly evident in the tangible benefits received by the children. The profound gratitude expressed by the community has solidified our commitment to ensuring the continuity of dental treatments and the planning of future oral health initiatives in the region. By providing resources, connections, and guidance, we empower healthcare professionals to make a tangible impact through short-term initiatives. PADA is incredibly blessed to have volunteers who share our vision and are deeply committed to our organizational goals.

We eagerly anticipate future opportunities to serve and empower communities in need.
